Cairns to Thursday Island
Riki met David & Millie on SV Penny Oyster, a British couple in their early 30’s, on the dock in Cairns. They left the same day we did, and we both overnighted to Lizard Island. We ended up buddy boating with them all the way to Cape York, the northernmost point of the Australian continent.…

Amazing Australia!
We have been here just over a week now, and we have seen so much wildlife! We rented a car from the marina and woke up at 5 am in order to see kangaroos on the beach at sunrise at Cape Hillsborough National Park. The kangaroos were quite fast! It was cool to see how…

Vanuatu fast and furious

We did a fascinating tour of the KokoMana chocolate farm and…

Lakeba
We left the Bay of Islands in Vanua Balavu last Wednesday, together with SV Pangea, heading towards Fulaga in the Southern Lau group. We hoped to arrive the following day in Fulaga, but the wind was too strong (20+ knots) and from the wrong direction (on the nose) so we decided to stop in Lakeba.…

Coconut hunting
The same day as we provisioned, we went to a beach in the afternoon to go coconut hunting. Taylor has some special tools for opening coconuts, and she taught us how to do it.
