We went to Tam Coc on Thu’s recommendation, in order to visit the Trang An UNESCO World Heritage site. We visited Trang An early on a Sunday morning. We didn’t have to wait in line long, but there were so many people! Most of the other tourists were Vietnamese. We got rowed around for two hours, amongst limestone karst cliffs and temples, through long caves. It was gorgeous.
A popular activity in Tam Coc was biking around the rice paddies. We had rented bikes, and set out of town on the side of the narrow road. I rode first, then Luz, Jade, Ma, and finally Tomu. I saw a road going between the paddies, and started along it to take some pictures. It turned out to be a gravel road, and Luz had a big fall. She was a really tough kid, and got back on the proverbial horse. Whoops Mama, not a good plan to take the gravel road!
